Here is the first images of the engineering and flight study for the V.40.
It was the smallest plane built in 1920 by Fokker. It originally had a 35hp Anzani Y engine and the study will use a 1/2 VW 37-40hp engine. It shape is based on the Fokker D.VIII, and it is around 70% smaller.
First some structural outlines:
As part of the study a flight model is being built alonside to determine its flight characteristics, this is in FlightGear:
The model will be worked up to full engineering, so she can be built. The engine mounts will be as per Fokker style so different engines could be fitted as required.
