Re: Dassault Rafale B Tiger Meet 2006
Very nice indeed - the texturing looks very nicely placed. Would you mind posting a couple of snapshots how you placed the tiger and panel decals? Did you use the built-in UV-mapper or another technique? Personally I'm still trying to get to grips with placing a texture correctly on a curved surface, so any tips would be great...
Thanks in advance! Steve

Re: Dassault Rafale B Tiger Meet 2006
Hi,
@g7sta i allways use the builtin UV Mapper sometimes its a little tricky, first i select all and open TCE to keep the size ratio, then i select single parts to move it inside TCE. For some parts i use UV Map to change the mapping, like the Turbineaoulet. You can export the TCE layout with UV Map exporter to a .bmp. For this plane i used top/bottom for the fuselage/wings/canards and left/right for the stabi, then i made some basiclines at the texture to ajust if necessary, then i added each single line. |

I think thats where I've been going wrong, trying to apply the texture to the whole model, instead of selecting some individual parts. I'll give that a go - thanks for the tips!
Cheers Steve
