Box modelling primarily, with judicious use of the "bevel" tool.
I video recorded the whole job; I'm hoping when I have some extra time maybe to turn it into some video tutorials. |

Here's a slightly revised render. The head was seeming a little too large for the body, so I tweaked the proportions a bit. |

Quite remarkable! I haven't seen very many animal models around here. It looks almost 100% real. Is it supposed to be a specific species or is it just a generic sea horse?
