RESOURCE: AC3D custom toolbar editor
All,
I've created a standalone Windows app that allows you to customize your AC3D toolbar. You can add just about any AC3D menu function as well as many plugins and a few extras, and can label/order them as you wish. http://supercoldmilk.com/ac3dplug/ac3dtb.html While this is a Windows-only application, the output from this program is a TCL file (plain text); so, if you are using AC3D for Mac/Linux and have access to a Windows machine, you should still be able to use this app and copy the results to your AC3D scripts directory. Please post back here if you encounter any difficulties using this app. Enjoy, Dennis |

Re: RESOURCE: AC3D custom toolbar editor
Dennis,
I'm not able to have more than 10 items in the toolbar ... Is that normal ? I do have 25 items created with your app, and when I load back the toolbar in it they are here, but AC3D won't display all of them, only the 10 first (??).

Thanks for ALL your great programs, there is a reason I am not a programmer, I know the patience and hard work that is involved.

Re: RESOURCE: AC3D custom toolbar editor
Thanks folks.
luuckyy --- can you post or PM me your toolbar .tcl file? I suspect that you've hit upon a toolbar item that isn't implemented correctly. The utility has not been heavily tested by any means (I've only personally implemented/tested about 5%-10% of all of the items), so it's likely a configuration issue. Dennis |

Re: RESOURCE: AC3D custom toolbar editor
This is a lovely tool.
I think I have found another issue in the config file. The 50% and 200% controls seem to be missing a backslash before the { and } in the description of what the key is -- I guess this confuses tcl. I hope that makes sense. Another thing that confused me was that the tooltips only show sometimes. I tracked this down to the fact that the tooltips do not show when a control is not enabled. I don't suppose there is a mechanism to grey out disabled controls? Cheers, Steve. |

Thanks for your reply. I realise that I wasn't very clear and conflated two issues. The problem caused the 200% ans 50% buttons to not work at all (and any following buttons were lost). I fixed it by changing e.g. Scale 50% = "50%" "toolbar_icons/scale0.5.gif" toolbar_add_button %ddh_toolbar_label% "ac3d scale 0.5 0.5 0.5" "Half size of selected\n(key = { )" %ddh_toolbar_image% to: Scale 50% = "50%" "toolbar_icons/scale0.5.gif" toolbar_add_button %ddh_toolbar_label% "ac3d scale 0.5 0.5 0.5" "Half size of selected\n(key = \{ )" %ddh_toolbar_image% in the conf file, so that the "{" is escaped (and similarly "}" for 200%). Cheers, Steve. |
