Change background color in screen saver
Hello,
is it possible to change the background color in the screen saver? Black is too dark and donīt fit to my model, white would be much better. Thanks! |

Yes, of course. Open File menu/Settings/3D Window tab, and note your current color on the background button. Click that and change via RGB, HSL settings, or just choose a more appropriate one from the swatch pallette

I meant the SCREEN SAVER and not the program AC3D.
In the screen saver the color is still black |

I use ScreenPrint 32 to get screengrabs for everything. Check it out.

This is true. It is a different solution to your problem.
You want a screen grab that retains the color you've set for your background, rather than black. Well, this program will do it.

Hellraiser,
I've tried to get a different background to the screensaver, but I've had no luck so far. What I did find was adding enough extra lights to the model will help in the ability to see the model as it spins on the black background. Also, if you can, set the reflectivity so that the reflections from the lights help in defining the model. There just doesn't seem to be enough definition to the screensaver options to allow you to change the background color. :? Sorry I wasn't more help. |

Sorry, it's not possible to change the background color of the screensaver.
I suggest you make a large sphere (say 12 segments) surrounding your model and set it's material. The background was defaulted to black for screen-saving purposes. Does this matter with current LCD screens? i.e. will leaving a pixel ON 'burn out' that pixel on an LCD? Andy |
