Importing vectors
Hello,
What is the prefered way of importing 2D vector art into AC3D? The only format I can see in the import menu that is widely used in 2D programs is DXF, but I'm having real problems getting it to work with CorelDraw X3's DXF export filter. Any tips or suggestions? Pity it won't import EPS or AI formats |

Re: Importing vectors
When Corel gives you the pop-up asking which DXF version, choose one of the older versions and you should have no problem.
The other thing that works well is to save your vectors as a TTF, and import them into AC3D using the font tool. |

Re: Importing vectors
Same problem here...
I use Coreldraw X3, seems it does not export .dxf very good. X3 does not export to ttf, either... What I did, was went back to my Coreldraw 11 and exported to a .ttf like Lisa said in previous post. That seemed to work, but put a lot of vertices on my object, though. Wish AC3D had a import for .ai or eps. |
