Help with Transparency
I am completely new to this program, so forgive my question if it sounds stupid.
I have a sphere that I want to make transparent (which I have done). I want to show something within the sphere. I can see objects on the other side of the sphere, but not the object I placed within it. Can anyone offer help on this? I'd appreciate it very much. Thanks! |

well I can help you with that. you see the color pallet on your lower left hand screen of AC3D. right click on a color that you want to become transparent. when you have right clicked a color you wanted, you will notice another little window with three commands edit material, select surface with this material, and append this material. I would suggesst you hit the top function, the edit this material. when you do that you'll notice a little window pops up the transparency tool is at the bottom. the higher you set that maker the more transparent you object or surface will look.
hope this helps ==> Daniel <== |

Thanks for the quick reply. Much appreciated.
The problem I still have is with the object I am trying to place within the transparent sphere. For some reason, it disappears when I drag it into the sphere itself. I can see thru the sphere to other objects outside of it, just not the object I've placed inside. Sorry again if it is just my lack of know-how. Thanks! |
