WiP - Blue Lion
Voltron's Blue Lion Yup, I've decided that I'm going to tackle what will be my most complex model to date. A real labor of love and nostalgia. The Blue Lion from Voltron. Got sort of a late start, so I only got a paw done tonight. I tried to stick to the way things look in the screencaps I made, but honestly, I'm not sure how good it will look if I do that all the way through. I dunno, I'll probably do what I do with the Sword of Omens, just keep remaking it from scratch over and over again until I get something I like. If anything, I think I may be putting too much rounding into it already. Will keep ya posted.

Re: WiP - Blue Lion
I think it looks better this way than it does in the original.

Re: WiP - Blue Lion
And we have legs now.
You can't easily tell from this image, but the hind legs are slightly different from the fore legs. The upper legs are larger and thicker, the lower legs are stubbier. And I am making sure to keep each piece on these seperate. So the feet are an object, the foreleg is an object, the upper leg is an object, etc. That way, later on, I will be able to rig the whole thing in Milkshape and animate it easily. --+Edit+-- You know, I just realized it's back legs are bending the wrong direction. Knees go forwards in the back legs, not backwards. Ouch, that must have hurt.

Re: WiP - Blue Lion
Been a busy weekend, haven't had time to do anything to it.
I'll see about working on the head when I get home from work. --- Later, after work: Still need to put the eyes in. I'm having problems with the boolean tools though, they just completely frell the head mesh when I try to use them. Might have to just go in and sculpt it all by hand, which will suck. Needs more polies, but I'm just roughing it out right now. I'll go back and smooth things out later.

On a short hiatus for a while. Got some real world projects that I need to get finished.
