Spherize plugin
This AC3D plugin takes the selected vertices and moves them so that they form a sphere. It's great for creating a quad-spheres - a good basis for subdivision modeling. It's also handy for making round surfaces/holes or distorting geometry.
Spherize is for AC3D 7.5 and can be downloaded here: Windows Mac After downloading and unzipping the file, place the spherize.p file in your AC3D/plugins folder and start AC3D The plugin adds a "Spherize vertices" item to the AC3D tool menu. To use it, simply select some vertices or surfaces then select the menu item to "spherize" them. |

Re: Spherize plugin
Andy,
Is there a reason you haven't posted a linux version of this? I got my tool chain put back together, so if I had the source I could probably make it compile... |

Re: Spherize plugin
I wrote my own, but you're doing something with the center that I'm missing... Oh, I see now. Your plug-in uses the bounding box center and I'm computing the geometric center.

Re: Spherize plugin
There are some problems with the OpenGL windows on the Linux version of AC3D 8. Hopefully it'll be ready in the New Year.
