Re: new chacter model out
thanks everybody. I might get a little more creative after the model is completed but you can see how easy it is to make something like that. though the pic is unclear

Re: new chacter model out
okay everyone sorry for not showing my latest project so far. I had a rough week
Anyways I had some time last night I got more completed on my character model. Dennis I will need you help on this one. If you could help me out. here is what I have done so far. I have given her a neck (finally) also I have given her some arms. http://users.techline.com/drreed/character%20model.jpg Dennis the reason why I would need your help on this part is I am stuck on trying to create the hands and feet. I dunno how to or figure out how to make them. any ideas?

http://www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials...c/joanmenu.asp It has good hints on making nearly every part of the human body. The tutorial's done in 3ds max, but it transports fairly well to AC3D (especially with the latest AC3D version plus the Divide Loop plugin). For hands: http://www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials...arc/glove1.asp This doesn't use a reference image, but it's definitely a good idea to do so to keep your hand in the proper proportions. Unfortunately, there's no foot tutorial with toes (this character wears boots). Fortunately, the hand tutorial should work as a good template. I've never made feet, but I imagine with a reference drawing and the lessons learned from the hand tutorial, it shouldn't be too terrible a process... Aside from the glove/hand tutorial, however, the entire tutorial is well worth a view. Quite honestly, you almost don't need the tutorial text, as the images do a great job of walking you through the entire process. HTH Dennis |

Re: new chacter model out
The model is coming along really well Daniel - I wonder what the figure would look like with a 'fleshy' colour applied to the model, instead of dark grey?
Keep it up Daniel - look forward to the next update! Cheers Steve

Re: new chacter model out
I haven't really figured that part out yet with the texturing. though it is a little difficult for me to properly cordinate textures. XD

Re: new chacter model out
No, it really isn't hard to just add colour to your model, just make a texture, it doesn't need to be big either, and just dab the colours you need in it. It's what I do for all my models, because I can't texture. Like I put a flesh colour in and some white for eyes. It's really simple, but it still looks pretty decent.
