Default Ac3d 9.1 out now!

We are pleased to announce AC3D 9.1 for Windows, Mac and Linux.

This release includes a number of fixes - thanks to all those who reported problems and made suggestions.

A very handy addition is the ability to align objects next to each other, or in a line with a specified distance between the objects. Take a look at the new Tools->Align dialog. For more info on the changes, see the included README file in the download (which is also displayed inside the Windows installer).

Just bought, or upgraded AC3D? no problem, simply install AC3D 9.1

AC3D will let you know if you need to upgrade your license. Please visit the Upgrade Center to purchase a new discounted license for AC3D: http://www.inivis.com/upgrade.html

Thanks Andy. One of the challenges of AC3D is the fact that it is hard to do things that are not orthogonal, and large things where you are way off the 0,0,0 axis.

Suggestion for a next release then would be either adding trig functions into the range of calcs we can do in the move and size fields, or alternatively create a temporary named set of axes with origin at {x,y,z} with rotation {a,b,c} Having several named axis sets would make manipulation of models soo much easier

Thanks for the feedback Mike. Yes, the orthogonal thing can be a pain. I'm working on manipulators like you see in other software, and that will make things a lot easier.

The initial Mac release was missing a file - my apologies.

Please download AC3D 9.1.0a from www.inivis.com/downloads.html

Hi Andy

Just purchased an upgrade via the website, I do have one complaint however.
I used to hold a PayPal account however I closed that when they went woke and started telling their customers how the customer was allowed to think and unilateraly closed many accounts (I know they have recinded this). During this purchase I could only do so by creating a new account, I was not offerd a one off purchase option which I find very "Big Brother". I intend cancelling again PPal next week.
Is there any way you can offer an alternative payment scheme as others do (even if via PayPal).
Regards
Tony

Thanks Andy I'll remeber for future, may be worth adding to your website purchasing page, just as a note/option.
