Default Select through function

The 'Select through' button has suddenly stopped functioning. With select through unclicked I cannot grab vertices or surfaces, rendering it impossible to work on anything. I have reset everything, and re-installed my copy of 9.0.22, but nothing seems to make any difference. With select through clicked I can select vertices and surfaces but this function is really useful. Any thoughts.

This usually indicates that the graphics card has an anti-alias setting switched on, or a general graphics driver problem.

Thanks Andy. I thought as much myself and went straight to my graphics card. The settings haven’t changed and the problem literally occurred over a lunch break - working fine before lunch, not working after lunch. I’ll keep looking at my graphics card as I do think the problem lies there.

Andy - quick update. It was indeed the graphics card. I had updated the driver recently and hadn't noticed that the settings had defaulted to factory settings. there are a range of anti-alias settings and I had missed one. thanks for the response which made me check twice. All sorted.

I am having a selection problem with the new release as well. On my machine which was always consistent, I can select a vertex when select through is off and not when it is turned on. This is just a very visible vertex with no surfaces or anything in the way. Also notice vertices being selected that are way outside the bounding multiselect rectangle. This is all in vertex mode I am sure. If I restart things can change as well.

Sounds like the same problem as above. Check the control panel settings for the graphics card. Look for antialias.
