just to get this understood,
when i convert a sketchup model to .obj for use in X-plane i need to completely re-do the texture file. Is that correct? anyone exerience in doing that efficiently? background info: .skp textures do not come as power of 2 (length and height ident.) dds files but as .jpgs. one of ac3d's downsides is that in the .obj-format, object groups or surface groups do not remain, all you get is a spread apart bunch of triangles which you thoroughly need to regroup for coordinating with texture file.
