Default Make vertices "meet?"

My apologies, but I can't figure out how to do this...

Is there any way to make these vertices "meet" together to form a nice corner, while maintaining their surface-plane relationship? If I use "snap together," then they each move off the surface plane.

By the way... I was able to achieve the end result I wanted, but it involved creating temporary surfaces, scaling them until they intersected, then using knife/boolean to find the intersecting points. Then using "move to" on all the vertices I needed to move. It was a very convoluted process, so I'm hoping there's an easier way.

If you want the whole surface to move so the vertices are touching, put one in an object (Surface->cut-away) and use Vertex->snap-objects-by-vertices.

Actually, I need the surfaces to "extend" to meet where they would intersect if they were larger.

I need the surfaces to "extend" like this... (top view)
so that they then form a corner where they would intersect. (but not extend past it.)
