Myan Flyer Mk-1 Design In-Progress
A contact wanted to know if I could design an airplane based on a picture he provided which showed a top and side profile of the craft. I decided to take on the project and this is what I have so far.
I am doing the design using AC3D and X-Plane 11. I have decided to design this plane as a wood structured airplane with an internally mounted electric motor and ducted fan, with retractable landing gear. I am planning on designing the tail and wings to be removable, so that the plane can be loaded onto a trailor. So far based on X-Plane tests, minimum takeoff and flight speed is 100 knots (and why I decided on retractable landing gear). As I refine the design, certain aspects of the x-plane model (such as total weight) will get adjusted to reflect calculated values instead of gestimated values. The first image is a render of what I have done so far for the structure of the craft. The second image is the source image my contact provided. |
