Default First futuristic model

So, after seeing all these works of art from TBD (Thor), I thought I would have a go myself at doing something. What I decided on was a simple robot shape that has a kind of humanoid structure.

At the moment I have kept it symmetrical to make the texturing easier when it comes to doing that. As of yet I'm not too sure whether this should be some kind of armed police, non armed police, military or anything. I'm sure I can decide as I go along.

Here are a few screenies of what I have done so far....remember it's my first model of this kind so be nice

Cheers Thor,

Done a little bit more but not alot, still not sure where I am going with this yet and my mind keeps wandering on to what kind of texture he should have.

Keep adding bits here and there just to see what they will look like. So here is another screenie....you might think he has funny lower legs but like I said in the first post I want the humanoid look for it.

All this work has been lost I did a simple indent on a separate object to the main model and the whole model went back to looking like it does before subdivisions are comitted. Even though I didn't save the errors when I reopened it, it was still the same

Oh well, learn from my mistakes and have to start again.

Hi Thor,

managed to solve the problem, somehow I managed to turn off the sub d preview, now I have the modl back

What I am trying to do now is use pov ray to do a render but I simply don't know how to do it

Here we go with a level 2 subD comitted. Think I'm going to start on textures now to bring it to life a little

With a very quick texture on the head, kinda urban warfare/policing look

I was going to use them as thrusters lol but come to think of it they could tilt and be used as rockets as well
