Loading hiearchy

Each time that I load my .ac file @300mb size aircraft passenger cabin; all runs well until I select the hierarchy view command. Is there a reason why it takes so long to have it displayed so I can manipulate it?

If you have a huge hierarchy then it takes a while to build up all the widgets for the hierarchy tree.

logical. Would it be simpler to load the tree closed and then open the desired group after. Would this speed up the process?

Well, at some time, the tree UI needs building so doing it when you were not showing the hierarchy would slow down loading. There's no easy way to speed it up.
