Re: Steampunk Oil Rig
That's coming along nicely. I think the clock tower is the strongest part of the texturing so far!

Re: Steampunk Oil Rig
Yeah, the clock tower texturing was all done in Photoshop. Found an image I liked and kept flipping it and overlaying it onto the original till I got it to be a tiled texture. Then I found pictures of wrought iron, cut them out and pasted on top of the new texture. Well, you know what I mean.
The pipes were from a texture I found in the Genetica forums. I let the artist know and he got a bit upset. Seems that quite a few people are using his work with out his permission. So I will have to redo that one. The good news is I went ahead and bought Genetica so I could make my own custom textures. It comes in handy for getting tiled textures but has a bit of a learning curve to it. I think I still prefer using Photoshop to custom make my textures. Hopefully I can combine the two programs to make some really nice stuff. |

A little more texturing. The bricks are right out of Genetica. The rest I did custom jobs on. I really like Genetica for tiling.

Well I think I am done texturing. I have now started working on the background. I have to relocate the PS tut on smoke and start working on that.
