Vertex Colors would involve huge changes to the internals of AC3D and I don't think it would benefit many users. Sorry.


Yes, a lot of software has the texture in the material. It is half-implemented (estimate) but needs a lot of work to finish e.g. all the file format reading/writing.


To apply texture easily and from a "palette", it's easier to use drag an icon from the desktop onto the object you want to texture. If the files are displayed as image icons, then it's much the same as a built-in texture browser.


I'll have to look into the B3D importer. It does look like it's not mentioned on the features page!


Can you remind me about the blocky texture script - what was that?
