Could Someone Write a Script to NOT show the Green BB in Vert Mode?
Hello,
I love AC3D, and am about to purchase it, the only issue I have with it, is when trying to make faces, or connect faces to other verts there, when you select a vert, the green box pops up and covers up some of the other vertexes, and it is pretty annoying.. Now, if it's not in Vertex Selection mode, the Bounding box is fine, but maybe if it can't be done in a script, maybe the author could add it as an option or switch to turn off the Box in vertex mode, then you could recheck it, for moving / other operations.. Thanks for listening, I hope we can get this done, I'm going ahead and pulling the trigger on this, I want it, it seems to work really good. Thanks, Storm |

Can't be done in a script. Even if it could be done, it would break usability.
The green bounding box is part of the reason people like AC3D . Without it you would be constantly switching operation modes as you mention. Click anywhere outside the box to clear the selection. Hold down shift and you can select inside the bounding box (shift+middle mouse button will remove from the selection). |

What would work would be to allow the user to change the colour of the bounding box from the dark green to something very very faint in the settings.

Color and size of the bounding box handles, that's already in there.
Here they are, with the BB handles downsized from the default 12 pixels to a more manageable 6 pixels, and the bounding box and handles made a gold color instead of the glycol green. All available under Settings in the File menu.
